![]() ![]() In this case, I can't say I really care (it was a rescue ship build shield strength wasn't my high priority as long as I have some) but I am curious for the future, and wanted to understand the differences next time I build a ship, so I'll know the mechanics behind the programs. I happened to notice that on identical ships, the shield values were off.ĮDSY In this case, ED Shipyard listed a 'raw' value of 430, yielding an 'absolute' value 33% higher at 645, and then adjusted values for my resistances based off that absolute value.Ĭoriolis showed a 'raw' value of 430, but no 'absolute' value, and calculated my resistances based off that raw value, yielding lower effective strengths. Today while working up a rescue build, I designed a ship in EDSY and then created the exact same build in Coriolis, because I like to build in EDSY but I like the way Coriolis helps me figure out what mats I'll need for engineering.
